Yup what Spyder said...that's why I farmed the skulls last year. if the Orr's were 1 for 1 heck everyone would be at gates of kryta =). i believe the avg per run for the skulls for me last year was 6 per run and 2 cc shards per run.

I tried bringing my 135hp monk with SoJ to The Great Northern Wall mission but the giant wave of charr at the end kept attacking and running away before I eventually died because I shoved everything into mending and watchful spirit, but quantity won and they all slapped me to death. My 2 searing flames heros were also too stupid and got thrashed. anyone know of a way to take em on?

The reason why skulls are superior to carvings and orr emblems is quite simple, and can be summed up in two words; spiked eggnog. For those looking for the drunkard title 1 skull has the same value as 9 carvings or emblems. I don't care where or how you're farming, if you want the drunkard title the skulls are the fastest. I'm getting about 100 per hour and a bit with my warrior which is slower than using an MM.

Yeah thats why skulls rock. though they aren't necessarily going to be the same this year, though if they are you can max the drunkard title by farming 3333 skulls.

I've been hitting an average of 100 per hour with my ranger, and i found that the MM was only a little faster but required more work.

yeah i ran my mm through there and it is a little bit faster but is a pain in the butt. so i run my ele through there instead which makes it almost as fast...and easier imo. i imagine a barrage ranger would be pretty darn fast there also. Did about 8 runs last night with my MM and Nuker, averaged about 15 skulls per run, 12-13 min per run.

If you are trying to farm char carvings you are doing the wrong spot. Go to Nolani's Academy. Go into miission to the left at the start of the mission is a lever for the gate. hit the lever and run down to meet the char.

This group of char is easier to beat the the group of char at the wall. I am not sure why but they are. You can kill the whole grp here in about 4 minutes and net about 7 carvings per run 'average'.

It's about risk/reward at this point.

Here's a summary of the items the collectors took over the past 3 holidays:

Halloween 2005: Charr Carvings (3); Ornate Grawl Necklaces (2); Decayed Orr Emblems (3); Glowing Hearts (2); Feathered Caromi Scalps (1); White Mantle Emblems (1); Maguuma Manes (2); Stone Summit Badges (2); Feathered Avicara Scalps (1)

Wintersday 2005: Charr Carvings (3); Ornate Grawl Necklaces (2); Stormy Eyes (2); Singed Gargoyle Skulls (1); Decayed Orr Emblems (3); Shadowy Remnants (1); Feathered Caromi Scalps (2); Hardened Humps (2); Stone Summit Badges (3); Frozen Remnants (1); Frigid Hearts (2); Dredge Manifestos (1)

Halloween 2006: Charr Carvings (3); Ornate Grawl Necklaces (2); Decayed Orr Emblems (3); Glowing Hearts (2); Feathered Caromi Scalps (1); White Mantle Emblems (1); Maguuma Manes (2)

So, what does that mean?

Since Halloween 2006 was just like Halloween 2005, you could presume that the collectors items for Wintersday 2006 will be just like Wintersday 2005.

However, if you really want to hedge your bets, the following items were used in ALL THREE previous holidays, so it's highly likely that they would be used again in Wintersday 2006:

Charr Carvings (3);
Ornate Grawl Necklaces (2);
Decayed Orr Emblems (3);
Feathered Caromi Scalps (1 or 2)

That's where I would focus farming.

100 per hour... That's 33 hours of farming for the title

Guess I'll just skip the Drunken Ale-Hound title for now, this is lame, I'd rather put those 33 hours in farming something different.

16 (12+1+3) Death
15 (12+3) Soul Reaping

1] Icy Veins
2] Deathly Swarm
3] Bone Fiend
4] Blood of the master
5] Consume Corpse
6] Soul Feast
7] Whatever
8] Whatever

I use sprint in one of the slots, but it isnt even needed. If you bunch up the first group IV a lvl 8 gargoyle and Swarm him, they should all die. Then summon your fiends and have a day in the park. 5-12 skulls in 5 minutes.

RT/R
Resilent Weapon to counter degen
VwK + EoE + 15-20 gargoyles = ggkthx

Usually go the stairs and down. EoE bomb the first group at the boss. Bomb the second group by the monument. Bomb the last group down the stairs. Takes about 5 min, average 8-15 skulls.

It may not be the most efficient, but MMing low levels with Fleshy is just FUN. One-whomp kills.

And when solo farming with an MM, Vampirics always give peace of mind. E.g., the gargoyles get off some Conjure Phantasms that it's nice to recover from ...

The hardest part I haven't figured out yet is how to pick up the loot most efficiently.
